Q : WHY CHOOSE BKD ?

A :  Brett King Design creates the highest quality customized helmets available in the industry. Our product blends a distinctive original style, with an unmatched attention to craftsmanship, detail and quality. We do not use any stickers on your helmet, and take pride that everything is done with paint. Your BKD helmet is a true investment that will last for decades if taken care of properly. 

 

Q : CAN YOU SPONSOR ME OR GIVE ME A DISCOUNT ?

A : As much as we would love to help out everyone with a deal, please understand that this is simply not possible. We are a company that produces and sells premium products and services, and as such we must charge accordingly. Please refrain from asking for deals or sponsorships in any form.  This includes group-buys and promises of bringing us more work from your friends.

 

Q : HOW DO I GO ABOUT GETTING AN ESTIMATE FROM BKD ?

Q : WHAT HELMETS DO YOU SELL ?

A : We offer Arai, Bell, and Stilo helmets. We also offer HANS Devices, and Racing Radios communication systems in addition to many other accessories for your helmet.

 

Q : CAN I USE MY OWN HELMET ?

A : Yes, if you already own a helmet you may choose to use that for your design. However, we do feel that starting with a brand-new white helmet always produces the best results.

 

Q : CAN I PAINT A HELMET THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN PAINTED ?

A : Yes, this is possible. If you do wish for us to re-paint your helmet, a refinishing fee will be charged.  We cannot paint black rubberized helmets unfortunately.

 

Q : WILL YOU DUPLICATE WORK FROM OTHER HELMETS ?

A : No. If there is a particular design that you like, we can create something new based off of the design, however we will never duplicate or reproduce other peoples work.

 

Q : WHAT TYPE OF PAINT DO YOU USE ?

A : We exclusively use PPG paints for the best in durability, quality, color, and shine. 

 

Q : CAN I ORDER COLOR SAMPLES ?

A : Yes. We encourage our clients to order color swatches so that they may be confident in receiving the exact colors they wish to have on their helmet. This avoids any potential color miscommunications.

 

Q : WHAT IS YOUR DEPOSIT POLICY ?

A : Once you have received your estimate, and have confirmed / paid your deposit, we are unable to refund you the full amount. If you must cancel an order after we have started work on the helmet, we will not issue a refund.

 

Q : WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO YOU TAKE ?

A :We accept the following forms of payment: Cash, Check, Credit Card, or Wire Bank Transfer. *For all International orders we only accept Wire Bank Transfers, which also will include a $35.00 service fee.

 

Q : What is the turn-around time ?

A : Completion times depend on season and workload. The system we use for scheduling is a simple “first come first serve” basis. If you wish to have your helmet by a specific date, this will incur a Rush Service fee, which depends on your desired return date and our workload. This fee varies, so please contact us for the current estimated completion schedule.

 

Q : WHERE DO YOU SHIP TO ?

A : We ship internationally.

 

Q : WHO DO YOU SHIP THROUGH ?

A : All shipments are processed primarily through FedEx. For international orders we can also ship USPS, DHL, or FedEx depending on preference.

 

Q : DO YOU CHARGE FOR SHIPPING ?

A : Yes. All shipping costs are paid by the client.

 

Q : HOW CAN I TRACK MY ORDER ?

A : If you have ordered an item through the Brett King Design website such as apparel or helmet accessories, you are able to track your order via the Order Status tab on our website. To track the delivery of your order, we will provide the tracking number to check the estimated delivery through the USPS, DHL, or FedEx websites.

  

Q : WHAT HAPPENS IF I CHANGE MY MIND ABOUT WHAT I WANT DURING THE PROCESS ?

A : This all depends at what stage in the Process you decide to change your mind and what it is you wish to change. You may be charged for any additional work that must be done to accommodate the changes you wish to make.

 

Q : WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY ? : We stand behind everything we sell. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will accept the return or exchange of unworn, unwashed or defective items, within 30 days of purchase. Returning helmets that are purchased off of our site will incur a 20% restocking fee. Shipping and handling fees are not refundable. Our guarantee does not cover ordinary wear and tear or damage caused by use or accidents.
